Dayton Ballet Barre Dayton Ballet Barre is a non-profit dedicated to supporting the Dayton Ballet!! Enthusiasm is the only requirement!

Our mission is to support the Dayton Ballet, the 2nd oldest dance company in the US, through fundraising, community outreach, audience development, volunteering, and creating a sense of community for the dancers new to our city. This organization is open to anyone who enjoys the Dayton Ballet and wants it to continue to be a world-class performing arts organization.

Last weekend's spectacular performances of Porgy and Bess marked the final curtain call for Kathleen Clawson as Artistic Director of Dayton Opera. During her remarkable tenure, Kathleen spearheaded 7 new productions; brought world-class artists to the Schuster stage; expanded Dayton Opera's education and mentoring programs; and created welcoming entry points for new audiences to discover—and fall in love—with opera.

She's a teacher, an artist, a friend, a force, and a diva—and we'll miss her dearly. Brava to our dear Kathlissima!
