In Loving Memory of James Howard Kepler Sr.

The Northern Nevada golf community and beyond are invited to celebrate the life of James Howard Kepler Sr., a beloved father, grandfather, mentor, friend, and longtime PGA professional whose impact on the game and those around him will not be forgotten. James passed away on April 29, 2026, at the age of 71.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 29 at Dayton Valley Golf Course in Dayton, Nevada. Family and friends are welcome to gather, share memories, and honor a man who touched countless lives through his kindness, leadership, and passion for golf.

📢 Public Hearing Notice

Lyon County will hold a public hearing on July 2, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Lyon County Administrative Complex in Yerington to discuss a potential application for approximately $2.9 million in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. Residents are encouraged to attend, learn about eligible projects, and provide input on community development needs and priorities. Please see attached for more detailed information.
