Yesterday, Jessie B. and her parents delivered the results of her Eagle Scout project in support of HTC Dayton❤️😃

Through her project, Jessie collected an incredible 590 bath towels and 670 wash cloths!

Each one helping provide comfort, dignity, and essential care to children and families in our community.

Last night, Miami Valley Council held our 2026 Annual Business Meeting as we celebrated the impact of Scouting across our community and looked ahead to an exciting future.

We look forward to your leadership, passion, and service as you help guide Scouting in the Miami Valley Council.

We also extend our heartfelt thanks to outgoing board members Erik Blaine and Karen Hesser for their dedicated service and commitment to Scouting. Your leadership and support have made a lasting difference for the youth and families we serve. You’ve truly done your “Good Turn” for Scouting, and we are incredibly grateful.

Here’s to another great year of preparing young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

🇺🇸 Exciting News for Military Families! 🇺🇸

Scouting America is expanding access to Scouting through the new Military Family Fee Waiver program! The Miami Valley Council is thankful for the service of all members of the military including those serving at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Beginning June 1, 2026, eligible youth from Active Duty, Reserve, and National Guard families can have the $85 national youth registration fee waived through online registration.

If you know a military family who may be interested in Scouting, now is the perfect time to invite them to join the adventure. This opportunity could be the extra encouragement families need to get involved and experience everything Scouting has to offer — leadership, adventure, service, friendships, and more!

Please help us spread the word by sharing this post with military-connected families in your community.
