Brotherhood of the Badge

Brotherhood of the Badge Police Officer Support and Social Organization Welcome all,

Welcome to Brotherhood of the Badge. We are honored to have you as part of the family. (Sgt. Sgt.

BOTB does have over 30,000 members worldwide covering over 60+ countries. With representatives in many of those countries. We are set up to respond and assist at a moment’s notice across the globe in any way we can whether it be assisting with memorial services, setting up donation accounts for families, making phone calls to rally the troops, making notifications, or anything other issue, process

or item we can assist with. Because we have so many members covering the globe BOTB is also gives you a wonderful opportunity to meet fellow Officers and supporters all over the world. Actual quote from BOTB members Sgt. Joe Borda and Paul Bodenhamer. Borda is a retired Law Enforcement officer from Malta, Paul Bodenhamer is a Police Officer for the Dept of Veterans Affairs). Borda… “Through BOTB not only have I meet and made thousands of great fellow LEO friends around the world but those friendships have also grown. During my travels I have had members say “hey when you are in the area In the area give me a call and we can get together”. I have also had members offer my family a place to stay”

Bodenhamer… “Recently my family and I have taken a vacation to Boston. Before we left I sent a message on BOTB that my family and I were going to be in the area and I had several members write and tell me to call them when we got in. I did and it was a great opportunity to put faces to names. We were treated just like family. A few months after that we took a trip to Louisiana and so I decided to do the same thing. In the past year we have taken five different trips and each time I have had the privilege of meeting other members off the site, it really is awesome to have such a large brotherhood, like a family where ever you go.”

Most recently BOTB had a member who was diagnosed with cancer and was not given very long at all by the doctors to live. This made it very hard for our brother to pay his bills due to all the medical treatment. BOTB rallied around our member and for several months now members from all over the World have been sending money to our fellow member on a weekly basis to help out. And on a side note not only did members ban together to help out financially but more importantly to pray. BOTB also offers several groups many of which are specific to LE training (note: you must be a verified LEO active/retired to access some areas) were you can discuss training, new technology, tools, etc… with other agencies/officers. BOTB is a Christian ran organization were you are free and encouraged to fellowship with one another. You do not however have to be a Christian to join, we welcome all. Please take a few minutes a look at the site that is solely driven by our members. We welcome and look forward to meeting you. God Bless and Stay Safe. Special Note:
Every day that we go to work, put the uniform on, pin on the badge on and strap you’re the duty belt we need to remember those before us who have paid the ultimate sacrifice...we are here to carry on in their footsteps. Always tell yourself "Today I am Going Home". Whether you are a Police Officer, Federal Agent, Deputy, Corrections Officers, Parole and Probation Officer or Security Officer or Military member we thank you for your service and dedication.

Very cool Sheriff Sanders this is so exciting. A great way for high school graduates to get into law enforcement without having to wait 3 years. We wish your agency the best in this and hope to see it spread.

If you’re under the age of 21 and want a viable jump start to your law enforcement career, I have good news for you:

If you’ve been following along for the last three years, you know that getting our younger generation into law enforcement has been a major objective of mine. One of the areas law enforcement hurts itself is by not allowing young adults into the profession, while simultaenousely asking why applications arent being submitted. The reason is simple: other industries and professions are hiring them from 18-21.

After 2 long years of negotiating the job duties, benefits, training, and equipment, I am ecstatic to announce TCSO is hiring two Deputy Cadets.

Cadets are full time paid employees of the Sheriff’s Office with limited commission open to applicants 18+. They do not have arrest authority, however they will play a critical role supporting our corrections and patrol teams.

Some common job duties of cadets include transporting offenders who are already placed under arrest by deputies to the jail, sitting on offenders at the hospital while they are being medically cleared for jail, logging evidence for deputies, conducting traffic control at car crash scenes, assisting disabled motorists, picking up found property, and generally supporting the tasks in the office that don’t require arrest authority.

The cadets will drive TCSO patrol cars that are marked with “Cadet” on the side, and wear distinct tan/green uniforms to differentiate themselves from commissioned deputies. The cadets will receive training in all applicable fields and will be authorized to carry tasers in defense of themselves or someone else in an emergency.

These positions will be crucial in making sure our commissioned patrol deputies are spending less time doing administrative tasks and more time on the road doing police work. Cadet positions will be an incredible opportunity for applicants under the age of 21 to get into a well paid law enforcement position with medical benefits to kick off their career.

To learn more about the position, here is a link that describes duties, pay, and hiring process:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Brotherhood of the Badge Honors the Courage, Strength, and Faith of Charlie Kirk

Roseburg, OR — [September 13, 2025] — Brotherhood of the Badge, a memorial organization founded in Roseburg, Oregon and dedicated to honoring the sacrifices of public safety heroes, observes with solemn respect and admiration the life of Charlie Kirk, whose recent passing has shocked and saddened so many. We extend our deepest condolences to Charlie’s family, community, and all those inspired by his example.

Charlie Kirk’s life was marked by courage — the kind of courage that understands fear, looks it straight in the eye, and refuses to back down. His strength was evident in the causes he pursued, the voices he uplifted, and the way he inspired others to act. Most of all, his faith in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ was the foundation of everything he did. Charlie’s unshakable belief in Christ gave him direction, conviction, and the ability to lead by example every single day of his life.

Charlie’s courage and strength came not from himself alone, but from the Lord, and from his deep conviction in the importance of family and the United States of America. He believed wholeheartedly that a strong family unit makes America strong — a truth that reflects the very values we, at Brotherhood of the Badge, hold close. Charlie lived with integrity, resilience, and hope, showing us what it means to put faith, family, and country first.

When once asked what he wanted to be remembered for, Charlie’s answer was simple: “My faith.” Those words define not only his legacy but also the example he left for us all.

Because of his example, Charlie’s legacy has multiplied. His faith, courage, and love for family and country have inspired millions to walk boldly in their own convictions. In the end, those who tried to silence him only succeeded in creating millions of Charlie Kirks — men and women who will continue to carry his message of truth, faith, and freedom forward.

We call upon our community, our nation, and all who admired him, to strive to emulate Charlie’s most admirable qualities. Let us be courageous in speaking truth; strong in adversity; faithful in purpose; compassionate to those around us. In doing so, we honor not only his memory, but the ideals that make public service — and indeed, civic life — meaningful.

I am Charlie Kirk.

With Love,
Paul H. Bodenhamer III
