The Black Lives Matter Dayton PAC, Knowledge for Life (www.know4life.net), and local activists sponsored the “Building a Resilient Future: Million Man March Commemoration” as part of their ongoing mission to advocate for policies that protect and uplift disenfranchised communities in Ohio. They faced challenges in a climate that was far from accidental.

The unsettling atmosphere was not random, but intentional, built through policy, laws, and systems designed to break down Black communities while blaming them for America's failures. This atmosphere deeply affected their core manhood, families, and survival.

The event highlighted the plight of Black men and their families through community dialogue, speakers, and performances that connected cultural expression to political empowerment. The focus was on advancing a call to action and policy reform in areas such as justice, economic opportunity, youth development, and health equity.
