πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ We invite you to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Rhea County Veterans Park this Saturday, June 13, at 10:00 a.m.
The park will be located on the triangular parcel between Swinging Bridge Park and the pickleball courts at the intersection of Alabama Avenue and Washington Avenue. This project will create a lasting space dedicated to honoring the service and sacrifice of our county's veterans and first responders.

We hope you will join us as we celebrate this exciting milestone for our community and take the first step toward creating a meaningful tribute to those who have served.

Come see us tonight at 6:30 in the concession stand for Country Music Night at Walden's Ridge Community Center!

So thankful for all the unseen hard work that Brad Harrison and his staff continues to do for our county. This will be a great asset to the county

Rhea County Emergency Management Agency and Rhea County Fire Department are proud to share our newest 2 trucks. One of which was donated and the other one cost a fifth of the normal price for the same type of truck. These have been converted into mobile command/drone unit and wildland fire unit that have recently been placed into service to better support our community.

These additions strengthen our ability to respond safely, efficiently, and effectively during emergencies of all kinds.

We want to extend our sincere appreciation to EMA Director and Fire Chief Brad Harrison and for his leadership and dedication throughout this process. Their commitment to improving public safety continues to move our county forward.

As always, our mission remains the same: to serve the residents of Rhea County with professionalism, preparedness, and pride.

Today, the members of the Kiuka Volunteer Fire Department pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their courage and sacrifice are woven into the very freedoms we enjoy each day.

As families gather, grills spark to life, and flags wave in the warm May breeze, we remember that Memorial Day is more than the unofficial start of summer. It is a day of gratitude, reflection, and remembrance for those who never made it home.

From all of us at Kiuka Volunteer Fire Department, we thank our fallen heroes and the families who carry their legacy forward. β€οΈπŸ€πŸ’™

Please celebrate safely this holiday weekend:
πŸ”₯ Never leave grills or fire pits unattended
πŸš— Drive sober and buckle up
πŸŽ‡ Leave fireworks to the professionals
β˜€οΈ Stay hydrated and check on neighbors and loved ones

We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
