Our Transitional Employment program helps Clubhouse members build confidence and return to work through part-time, real-world job opportunities in the community. With support, training, and guaranteed coverage, members gain valuable skills while earning competitive wages.

Miracle Clubhouse member Rickey Smith is a Veteran who learned about our program through the Building Bridges Program at the Dayton VA. Rickey has since gained a Transitional Employment job through Miracle Clubhouse and is heavily involved in our Garden!

Here is what Miracle Clubhouse member Steven Tretchler has to say about his time at Clubhouse: I first learned about Miracle Clubhouse, going on four years ago now, by a fellow colleague and member there during a 14-day hospitalization and worst psychosis I had ever endured with my Mental and Emotional Health challenges. Since becoming a member of MC in September of 2020, the programing, Staff, and my Colleagues there have not only helped me become my healthiest, mentally and emotionally I have been in over 50 years, but I've also stayed loyal to my recovery process; achieving my goals, taking my medications, going to my therapy, my psychiatrist, and not having to be hospitalized again. I'm so grateful.

Miracle Clubhouse is accredited by the worldwide organization of Clubhouse International. Through Clubhouse International Miracle Clubhouse follows 37 standards to ensure consistency of an evidence-based program.

Here are Clubhouse International Standards numbers 23 and 24 regarding Supported and Independent Employment:
The Clubhouse offers its own Supported and Independent Employment Programs to assist members to secure, sustain, and better their employment. As a defining characteristic of Clubhouse Supported Employment, the Clubhouse maintains a relationship with the working member and the employer. Members and staff in partnership determine the type, frequency and location of desired support.

Members who are working independently continue to have available all Clubhouse supports and opportunities as well as participation in evening and weekend programs.

Fun Fact about Miracle Clubhouse: Miracle Clubhouse has weekly Thursday night socials and a monthly Saturday social. Socials are for the individuals who are working during the day and cannot attend Clubhouse during normal hours. Our socials also help to develop and build relationships.

Membership is voluntary and without time limits.
The Clubhouse has control over its acceptance of new members. Membership is open to anyone with a history of mental illness unless that person poses a significant and current threat to the general safety of the Clubhouse community.
