In just one month, 330 members answered the call by joining The 1903 Club through our special retroactive donor campaign, raising more than $16,500 to support the mission of SAI Philanthropies, Inc.

Reflections on Founders' Day:

When asked, "How does it feel to be a Founder?" Elizabeth Campbell replied: "My answer is that the feeling is a mixture of humility and pride. Humility because so much has been worked out by others since we made the first venture. Pride in our sisters who have caught up and developed our ideals even beyond our highest expectations."

As we celebrate the 123rd anniversary of Sigma Alpha Iota, we reflect on the vision of seven young women whose dream has grown far beyond what they could have imagined.

For 123 years, Sigma Alpha Iota has fostered musical excellence, scholarship, leadership, service, and lifelong friendship. Through the work of Sigma Alpha Iota Philanthropies, Inc., that vision has expanded even further—providing millions of dollars in scholarships, grants, awards, and project funding that have transformed the lives of musicians, music educators, music therapists, researchers, performers, and arts organizations around the world.

Today, the impact of our Founders' dream can be seen in every chapter, every volunteer, every donor, every recipient, and every musical opportunity made possible through our collective generosity. Their ideals continue to inspire a growing community who believe in the power of music to educate, heal, connect, and enrich lives.

With gratitude for the generations who came before us and confidence in those who will follow, we recommit ourselves to advancing our mission, broadening our impact, strengthening our culture of philanthropy, and ensuring that music continues to flourish for generations to come.

Happy Founders' Day to all who carry forward the legacy of Sigma Alpha Iota.
