The Dayton Microcomputer Association, Inc. (DMA) would like to provide you with an option for trying to sell (or worse yet, send to a landfill) your technology equipment--the fast-growing Dayton Computer Museum (www.DaytonComputerMuseum.org).

One of the current community services of the DMA is its computer museum outreach which for almost 40 years a member of our organization has taken equipment from our collection to other organization’s events throughout the area to talk about a wide range of technology subjects.

While doing this at least 10 times a year (including all TechFest events), the DMA is looking for a larger facility to exhibit our collection. Presently, our museum has a workshop which is available for viewing by appointment only. In addition to the equipment in our workshop, we have much more equipment to be moved from our volunteer member’s homes into a much larger facility that we are presently seeking.

The DMA presently has no money budgeted to purchase equipment. We are saving our resources for when we find a much larger building. But, since the DMA is a 501c(3) non-profit organization, we can provide documentation that can lead to a tax deduction for the donor. One will find that by contacting us to collect their technical equipment donations, likely much more valuable to us than to others, will realize faster disposal for the museum’s use through our volunteers.

Anyone, or any local corporation, interested in donating any technology equipment or funds to the Dayton Computer Museum, can let us know of intentions through our contact-us form at www.DaytonComputerMuseum.org.

The donation of funds, or anything other than technology equipment is made through the Dayton Foundation. Donation arrangements for anything will be made after we receive contact-us form inquiries.

The Dayton Computer Museum is the only known entity that collects and respects the history of the Computer User Group movement which began over 60 years ago.
