This tiny little girl was trapped recently for TNR and the trapper noticed she was VERY pregnant.....she had babies the night she was trapped! Thankfully a wonderful foster stepped up for her and now she and her adorable furbabies are thriving. Up for adoption in about 8 weeks!

Meet Hereford, he was dumped in a local park, hit by a car, went through lifesaving surgery, had an isolated seizure, and has bounced back ready for his forever family. He enjoys being outside and especially going on walks. He does great visiting friends at Home Depot or Lowe’s and enjoys being out and about. He eats very fast, so he utilizes a slow feeder or a scent mat when he is eating to encourage him to savor his food. He is crate-trained and potty-trained and sleeps well in his crate overnight if needed. He can also sleep and settle in bed, but he can be a bit of a bed hog. Hereford is goofy guy who is cat-friendly, but is more interested in their food than he is in them… so make sure the cat food is out of his reach! He's good with dogs, until he's not, as he lacks impulse control at times. So a home without other dogs would be best for now as we work with him to see if he can be again.
Hereford has been through a lot in his very short life and he deserves a home full of love and snuggles. Could that be your home? Hereford is neutered and fully vaccinated.

Slinkin Linkin came to us from a hoarder and as such, he is a bit timid, but getting more brave every day! This sweet boy is under a year old and most likely has cerebllar hypoplasia, which is a neurological condition that affects his balance and coordination. These kitties can go on to live very full lives, so don't rule him out. He will be up for adoption in a few weeks!

September is Responsible Dog Ownership Month! 🐶

Being a responsible dog owner means taking the steps to keep your dog healthy, happy, safe and by your side. It also means helping keep our community safe, too.

Here at the ARC, we're highlighting three important parts of responsible dog ownership this month:

🐾 License your dog — A current dog license is required by Ohio law and can help reunite a lost dog with their family.

🦴 Microchip your dog — A microchip provides permanent identification and is an important tool for getting lost dogs back home.

✂️ Spay or neuter your dog — Altering your dog has important health and behavior benefits, while also helping reduce the number of dogs entering shelters and rescues.
