Greater Dayton Move to Amend We are Move to Amend in Dayton, Ohio, committed to the democratic process and giving a voice to every natural person.

We're calling on Congress to pass the We the People Amendment to end corporate constitutional rights and get money out of politics. Nationally, Move to Amend was formed in September 2009, and is a coalition of hundreds of organizations and hundreds of thousands of individuals committed to social and economic justice, ending corporate rule, and building a vibrant democracy that is genuinely accou

ntable to the people, not corporate interests. We are calling for an amendment to the US Constitution to unequivocally state that inalienable rights belong to human beings only, and that money is not a form of protected free speech under the First Amendment and can be regulated in political campaigns. Members of the affiliate up north in Miami County showed up at the Troy City Council meeting on January 21 to mark the 15th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's Citizens United decision.

To mark the 15th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court's Citizens United decision, six of our team members were able to show up in solidarity, at the Jan. 21 Troy City Council meeting, as one of them made a statement about the need for the proposed We the People Amendment, which will soon be introduced in the 119th Congress.
