We're working as the fiscal agent for local filmmakers
Ann Rotolante and Patrick Steele, the creative team behind TRUE NATURE, are filming their latest low-budget feature, a taut police thriller titled THE HUNTING KIND, in the Dayton area. TRUE NATURE played 50 festivals worldwide, won 19 awards, and was distributed through Amazon, Netflix, Time Warner On Demand, Blockbuster, Family Video and others.
As supporters of local filmmaking, music, food and the arts, Rotolante and Steele know - and greatly value - the incredible things happening in Dayton at the grassroots level. Many people in our community are curious about the filmmaking process and might like to help, but don’t know where to start or what we need. At this time we're raising funds for craft services- to feed the cast and crew.
This film is about a police detective who isn’t coping well after her father is murdered, despite the best efforts of her work family. A hot tip points her in the direction of three guys who seem to be likely suspects. Rather than get a warrant to arrest them and do things by the book, she decides to go after them personally for revenge, essentially abducting and then hunting them on her father’s farm. It’s only later that the real murderer is apprehended, and she has to make peace with her actions.
Can you help? Donate and you'll be thanked in the film credits and invited to a special screening of the film.
