DCRC would like to recognize and congratulate Arlon Nash on receiving Teacher of the Year honors! 🙌🏼🙌🏼Arlon’s passion for teaching American Sign Language in Springfield, along with his dedication and hard work, has made a meaningful impact on his students and the community. Beyond the classroom, Arlon is a DCRC Board Member and co-founder/co-owner of Interpreters of the Deaf, LLC, alongside Deron Emmons. His dedication to ASL, education, accessibility, and the Deaf community reaches far beyond Springfield. This recognition is well deserved, and we are proud to celebrate his accomplishment. Congratulations, Arlon! Keep inspiring Springfield and the Deaf community everywhere! 🤟

DCRC and D-WAVE are coming together for a special community event focused on awareness, education, support, and healing.

Celebrating Annie Welch!

We are incredibly proud of Annie Welch and all she continues to do for the Deaf and ASL community!

Annie teaches American Sign Language at Northern Kentucky University, serves as Communications Director for the American Sign Language Teachers Association (ASLTA), and is an ASLTA Certified Teacher Level I.

During Deaf Awareness Month, Annie was also featured by WCPO-TV, highlighting her passion for teaching ASL, Deaf culture, and building connections between the Deaf and hearing communities.

Annie’s dedication goes far beyond one role. Through leadership, education, advocacy, and community involvement, she continues to make a difference in so many ways.
