Hurricane Helene did a number...and even here in the Dayton area, we got hit. Not going to complain, but when our USA Patriots Golf Finale on Friday, 27 Sept was rained out...it merely got postponed us until Friday, 18 October. Beavercreek GC is the venue and the original foursomes could be joined by new foursomes interested in a fun way to support Dayton-are veteran beneficiaries like Fisher Nightingale Houses, Honor Flight-Dayton, and Blue Star Mothers of Dayton. The updated entry form is available upon request from "[email protected]."

Expanding our reach!

Those of you who support the USA Patriots Veteran Golf Circuit will surely know that our primary beneficiaries since 2016 and our hosting of the USA Patriots Amputee Softball Team at Wright State University have been Fisher Houses (WPAFB & Dayton VA), Honor Flight-Dayton, and the USA Patriots Amputee Softball Kid's Camp.

Thru the years, however, we have also made donations to additional Miami Valley veteran organizations/causes like Combat Outpost Robinson, the WSU Veteran & Military Center (VMC), the newly approved Greene County Veterans Memorial being built in the heart of Xenia, and the Wear Blue - Tribute Mile at the USAF Marathon. At our upcoming USA Patriots Golf Finale at Beavercreek GC on Friday, 27 Sept, we are looking to support another Miami Valley veteran organization: Blue Star Mothers.

The Blue Star Mothers have been there for our troops and our Dayton Warriors Softball Fund efforts to raise funds for veteran causes, as well. At this year's Golf Finale we'd like to be there for them!

Patterned after last year's putting contest on the practice green at Beavercreek GC, we will have a fun-but-challenging activity for golfers to support Blue Star Mothers. For a small donation, golfers will have multiple targets on the practice green to aim at and, if hit, be rewarded! Maybe the highly prized Buckeye Vodka basket? You betchya! ..and some other attractive prizes, too! (Happy to take additional sponsor items!)

The goal, as always, is to raise funds for our local veteran beneficiaries and to have fun while doing it.

Amputee Softballer Returns to Support Fund Raising

Rob Vande Zande, former USA Patriots Amputee Softball Team player and Gold Star Father from Fond du Lac, WI will be attending and participating in the USA Patriots Golf Finale in support of veterans’ causes.

The Dayton Warriors Softball Fund, the all-volunteer hosts for the USA Patriots Amputee Softball Team at Wright State University since 2016, is inviting local golfers to join in their 7th annual golf outing at Beavercreek Golf Club on Friday, 27 September 2024.

These golf outings donate all proceeds after expenses to Greater Dayton area veterans’ organizations Fisher Houses (WPAFB & Dayton VA). Honor Flight-Dayton, and others. This year’s donations will also include a donation to the USA Patriots Amputee Softball Kid’s Camp from Waste Management’s recent motorcycle ride.

Entry is $100/player which includes greens fees, cart, coffee & donuts, Mission BBQ snack at the turn, lunch, and prizes.

Numerous additional contests will be presented.
