At the Dayton Food Pantry, support goes beyond food assistance. We believe in empowering people to make informed choices, ensuring they have access to the resources they need to plan for their futures effectively. With this in mind, we maintain a regular schedule of outreach at the food pantry by various groups. SMART Recovery meetings at the Dayton Food Pantry happen 🦋 every Monday at 1pm. We would love to see you! 💙 SMART Recovery meetings are free support groups designed to help people overcome addictive behaviors (substances like alcohol or drugs, as well as behaviors like gambling or overeating). SMART stands for Self-Management and Recovery Training. SMART Recovery brings a new path toward hope, growth and lasting recovery.

🌽🍅 Farmers Market Booklets! 🍓🥕Seniors can pick up their Farmers Market Booklets at senior centers and other locations. These booklets help eligible seniors purchase fresh, locally grown fruits, vegetables, and more at participating farmers markets! ️
Eligibility Requirements:
• Age 60 or older
• Monthly household income at or below:
• $2,461 for one senior
• $3,337 for two seniors
This is a great opportunity to enjoy fresh, healthy foods while supporting local farmers.

Did you know the farmers market here in Dayton welcomes SNAP and Senior Vouchers, as well as cash, etc.? It will be open on Thursdays from 3:30pm-6:30pm starting June 18, 2026. You'll find fresh fruits and vegetables, local honey, booths with info on our area's health and wellness resources, and live music. Next to the market is the Solidarity Community Garden, which will offer free community activities like children's games and gardening demonstrations. Yesterday we delivered 50 bags of dog food to the Dayton Food Pantry donated by Grocery Outlet of Dayton. Thank you to all our sponsors, Chewy, Petco, Bensons Feed store in Carson city, Curves Dayton NV, Ace Hardware in Carson city, NV, VFW Post 8071 Virginia City Nevada 89440 and everyone else to help our low income folks in this area feed their pets!"
