Big news for the future of Dayton’s youth!

The Dayton City Commission has officially passed a resolution formally adopting the Student Vision for Dayton plan and laying the groundwork for a Mayor’s Children’s Cabinet!

Launched in 2023 in partnership with the City of Dayton, this three-year initiative centered on student voices to create a master planning roadmap by, for, and about young people.

It focuses on 4 major pillars:
Leadership Opportunities
Safe & Healthy Neighborhoods
Mental Health & Bullying Prevention
College & Career Readiness

What’s next?

Moving from planning to action. The new Mayor's Children’s Cabinet will break down silos—bringing together city government, schools, housing, health, and workforce partners alongside youth and residents to ensure we deliver connected, accountable support for Dayton’s families.

Data drives access.

We just launched FAFSA tracking on our Statewide Academic Data dashboard!

FAFSA completion isn't just a form—it’s the single strongest predictor of whether a student goes to college or trade school. Monitoring monthly progress on FAFSA completion allows schools and partners to support students in real time. Plus, it’s the only way to unlock grants, scholarships, work-study, and federal loans.

See how our communities are doing and where we can bridge the gap.
