Afterschool and summer learning programs keep kids safe, inspire them to learn and help working families—and on Oct. 22 thousands of programs will share how they're keeping the lights on afterschool for our children!

“Photovoice closes the knowledge gap between people and the people making decisions over their lives.”

Last week, the 2Gen Collaborative joined community members at the University of Dayton Fitz Center for Leadership for a Photovoice training with PhotovoiceWorldwide, a pre-workshop for the Imagining Community Symposium. We learned how to put the camera, and the story, in the hands of the people closest to the issues.

Organizations from the 2Gen Collaborative are exploring how Photovoice could bring lived experience into their work.

Team Learn to Earn Dayton has had an inspiring few days in Baltimore at the StriveTogether Cradle to Career Network convening learning and working alongside leaders from across the country.

ICYMI: Ohio has designated 12 regional partnerships that will bring together local education leaders, employers, workforce organizations, and other community partners to proactively identify and address the most pressing challenges facing young Ohioans as they progress through school and into the workforce.

“The launch of the new Ohio Regional Education Partnerships network is the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Ohio communities,” said Stacy Schweikhart, CEO of Learn to Earn Dayton. “Our job is to meet partners in each region where they are – whether that’s standing up these organizations for the first time or scaling proven collective impact work – and give each of them the support, data, and peer connections to turn strategy into results for students.”
