South Park Cat Care Collective

South Park Cat Care Collective The South Park Cat Care Collective is a volunteer-led nonprofit based in the South Park neighborhood of Dayton, Ohio. Thank you for your support!

We’re dedicated to the Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) of community cats and to providing resources and support for local pet parents. The South Park Cat Care Collective is a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) whose purpose is to minimize the suffering of cats, reduce the spread of infectious disease in the community, allocate resources with the best results to residents, and recognize the limitations of our

members with respect to cat care. Our main focus is the TNR of South Park Cats, however, we consider ourselves an animal welfare organization and are able to help other animals in emergent situations. Our non-profit is a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on donations and volunteers. All proceeds go towards supplying the organization with resources to foster and TNR community cats. Proceeds will also be used in emergent situations that involve community animals. Our PayPal is [email protected] and Venmo is .

South Park Cat Care Collective board members, by majority vote, paused TNR efforts in the Fall of 2025. Funds raised after that time were for specific cats in need. Remaining funds and access to financial information was being withheld, therefore the organization went on indefinite pause on April 12th when two members decided to start their own separate organization. Any fundraising done after that point, merchandise sold, use of our logo, or any communications that do not come from this page or our email [email protected] are done so fraudulently.

These sweet and silly brothers were born last summer and have been stealing the hearts of their neighbors ever since! They were TNR’d last fall and are currently living outdoors, but would love your help finding their forever home 🤍 They have gotten to know a bit about the luxuries of indoor life during the times they have been invited o hang out inside by their sweet neighbors. While they remain a little skittish around people, their friendliness and trust continues to grow and they have recently warmed to accepting pets from their human friends. They are a bonded pair and must be adopted together. If you have room in your heart and home for these silly brothers, please message Lauren Durnwald or the page.

Help Floof!

We have a South Park neighbor who needs help with one of the cats she TNR’d. She took him to the vet to get it examined and the doctor reccomends enucleation. Read more about him at the link. All donations, no matter how big or small, help so much!

If neighbors express concerns about community cats, you can resolve them peacefully--and maybe even inspire a new cat advocate!

Let them know who community cats are, that they are at home outdoors, and that is the only humane and effective approach. If you're doing TNR in the neighborhood, inform your neighbors of its many benefits! Our information at https://www.alleycat.org/our-work/trap-neuter-return/ will help.

If the concern is about cats in their garden or yard, you can offer advice on humane deterrents, and even help set them up! We have a list of options at alleycat.org/Deterrents.

And, as a community cat caregiver, it's important to follow best practices, including:

- Feeding the cats at the same time and in the same area, especially in a feeding station
- Keeping the cats' shelters and feeding stations clean and out of the way of foot traffic
- Picking up any uneaten food and dishes within 30 minutes, or after the cats have finished
- And, of course, doing TNR!
