Tomorrow, we’re heading to Sam’s Club to stock up on one of the things our rescue goes through CONSTANTLY… CAT LITTER! 🐱🧻

Did you know that cat litter is one of our LEAST DONATED ITEMS but also one of our LARGEST EXPENSES? 😿💔

The best deal we’ve found right now is $22.62 for 44 pounds of the litter we use. With multiple cats depending on us every single day, you can imagine just how quickly those bags disappear! 🐈🐈‍⬛

💔 HERE’S THE HONEST TRUTH, FRIENDS… OUR FUNDS ARE RUNNING LOW, AND WE DESPERATELY NEED SOME HELP.

We do everything we can to stretch every dollar, but caring for these precious babies comes with ongoing expenses that never stop. We can’t simply stop scooping litter boxes because donations are slow. These cats deserve clean litter boxes, a safe place to land, and people who refuse to give up on them. 🥺💙

These 2 girls love each other so much. Daphne & Pixie have been best friends from day 1 and are always by each other’s sides.

After an hour of non stop running and playing, they decided they’re little house was the perfect spot to take a cat nap 😻

October 2, we suddenly lost our girl Lady Bug. We believe she had an intestinal twist because everything happened so fast. Our precious girl was scared to death of cats when we first adopted her 5 years ago from Montgomery County Animal Resource Center. Now as you see, she could care less if the cats or kittens were near her.

Lady Bug was such a sweet, calm and gentle dog. Any kitten we’ve had in our care the last few years has ended up snuggling with her. As you can see in this video, even little Ms. Daphne had to be a menace and disturb Lady Bugs slumber lol.

We love that the cats/kittens in our care are raised with our dogs so that they are already used to being around dogs. Now we just have our Beau Boy who’s been incredibly sad without his sister. He’s also an incredible dog and very protective and watches over all the little babies. Whenever new babies come to the rescue in my care, Beau is by my side the entire time I’m feeding or caring for them.

We’ve rescued a few dogs along the way within our Cat Rescue and one day we’d love to be able to rescue cats & dogs but right now just simply isn’t that time.

I just wanted to share with you a sneak peak of how wonderful our girl was with the babies in our rescue. We still can’t believe she’s gone and we’re all completely heart broken over it. 5 years with her just wasn’t enough time. She was estimated to be about 9 years old. At least we know that she lived a wonderful life full of love her last 5 years here on earth.

🎉🐾 DAPHNE’S THROWING A HOUSEWARMING PAWTY! 🐾🎉

🚨🏠 BREAKING NEWS FROM THE CAT HOUSE! 🏠🚨

Daphne has officially heard the news…

WE’RE MOVING TO OUR NEW HOME!!! 🥳🎉🐱💙

And apparently, Daphne decided that packing boxes, moving chaos, and all the craziness calls for a PAWTY! 😂🎈🎂

So while Mom is over here surrounded by boxes wondering “How in the world are we going to get all of this moved?!”…

Daphne is like:
🎉 “WHO CARES?! WHERE’S THE PARTY?!?” 🤣🤣🤣

This move is a BIG step for Blue’s Haven Cat Rescue, and we’re so excited for what’s ahead. 🩵💙🏠🐾

There may be some quiet days while we get everything moved and settled, but our Village is coming with us! 💙🩵

And you KNOW Daphne couldn’t let us move without one last little celebration! 😹🎊

🚨🐾💙🩵 OUR RESCUE NEEDS YOUR HELP… AGAIN. 🩵💙🐾🚨

Over the weekend, FOUR MORE CATS showed up at our personal residence… and unfortunately, they are clearly not feral cats. 💔 These babies are covered in fleas, extremely frightened, and clearly have been used to living inside a home.

Sadly, this is NOT the first time cats have been dumped near us. 😢

When you run a very small rescue, situations like this can be absolutely devastating financially. We never want to turn our backs on an animal in need, but caring for these unexpected babies has COMPLETELY depleted our rescue funds. 💔🐾

And to make things even more difficult, we are currently in the process of moving. This unexpected situation has not only taken the funds we had available for the rescue, but has also required us to use personal funds to make sure these cats have what they need.
