Good Evening Scout Families

Wanted to send a couple updates after the meeting tonight. A couple of busy things happening over the next month, and wanted to get the information out quickly.

Next week we will be meeting at 6pm Monday (20 April), and planning to make trail mix in preparation for our Hike on the 26th. For the Hike, we will have two options, meet at the church at 930 for those that want to take the bus to Glen Helen at Young Dairy (plan will be for Ice Cream after the Hike), or meet at Glen Helen at 1000. We have plans to check the weather on the 25th and determine if changes will need to be made.

If there is a need for a weather cancellation, the plan will be to Meet for what would be the 28th weekly meeting at the church and hike the path to Dairy Queen, as we often have for part of a clean up night. If there is no weather cancellation, we will not be having a scout meeting on the 28th, however there will be a parent meeting that evening, in order to finalize plans for Camping on the 2-3rd.

Need to get a head count for Camping on the 2-3rd.

Finally, Our last meeting for the year will be held on the 12th of May, with a plan for an Ice Cream social at Dairy Queen, along with finishing up giving the scouts the award belt loops.

For now, no plans for meetings in the summer, but we will plan to do the return to scouting in September, pending finding new parent leaders. Ill be around to help facilitate, but unfortunately will not be planning to return to the role of cubmaster.

Evening Scout Families

Sorry for a bit of a delay in the emails this month, our committee meeting was delayed after the blue and gold.

As a reminder we are meeting at 6pm on Mondays, and the committee meetings will be after, normally on the first Monday of the Month. IF you are interested in providing more input or looking to help as a Den Leader or Cub master, please feel free to attend one of these meetings to see what we normally go over for planning for future events and monthly agendas.

We have the Hike coming up at 1000 this Saturday. There will be some plans to meet at the church, or at the Nature Preserve. Nate will have more details at the meeting tomorrow.

Next month will be camping on the 2-4. and the end of year Ice Cream social on the 12th.Right now we do not have plans for summer meetings.

Finally, we are looking to see if anyone is interested in supporting their time for a Carwash, or would have any items to donate for a yard sale. Please let us know if you could support either. Wanted to gauge interest and availablility of parents and scouts before setting too much time aside for this.

Unfortunately, the changes that Scouting America underwent this year with Popcorn sales, left us with some popcorn to get rid of and a need to do additional fundraising. Any additional ideas are welcome.

From Mar 10-14, 2025 Pack 105-Riverside will be collecting non perishable foods for Scouting for Food. There are collection boxes at Beverly Gardens Elementary, Brantwood Elementary, Saville Elementary, Stevenson Elementary, and Community Methodist Church Riverside. All food collected will stay in the Riverside area to help those in need.
We are willing to pick up food in the Riverside area. Please send a private message to make arrangements.

Blue and Gold banquet was awesome. We celebrated the many achievements the scouts worked on so far. We had 3 Arrow of Lights crossover into BSA...going to miss these scouts.

Good Evening Scout Families

Hopefully everyone is doing well this weekend, and had a chance to enjoy the snow from today. It's hard to believe that we are closing in on the Blue and Gold in a couple weeks, which will see our First group of kids Cross-over, after starting with the Pack in 2019 as Lions (when we first formed the Pack). The Blue and Gold is planned for 1 March at 4pm.

Big change starting tomorrow, we will be holding the Pack/Den Meetings at 6 pm instead of 7 pm. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

The Miami Valley Council is having their Pinewood Derby on 22 March, at the Air Force Museum from 9 AM to 5 PM. We can enter the Top 2 cars from each Den, $5 per entry. Please let us know if anyone is interested in entering a Car.

Finally, Looking forward to April, we will have our Earth Day Hike at Glen Helen Nature Preserve.
