We collected over $40,000 in donations over the last year - thank you! Today we were able to drop off a huge amount of donations (hats/gloves/toothpaste/deodorant/snacks/etc) to Daybreak Dayton - the only youth homeless shelter (ages 10-17) in the Miami Valley. Be sure to watch at 6pm tonight, to see the news coverage of our latest project.

Today is Giving Tuesday... would you consider helping the kids of Love Conquers Dayton by making a donation?

One thing they could really use right now are blankets - new or gently used. All donations will be handed out to the homeless community in the Miami Valley during the month of December.

You can shop directly from Amazon, and the items will be delivered directly to Love Conquers Dayton. These items will be used in the care packs for the homeless community this fall. Thank you!

Recently, former Dayton resident and prominent actress Allison Janney tweeted her support for a local non-profit, Love Conquers Dayton. Headed by 13-year-old Abriella Ruby, the non-profit raises funds to help the homeless in Dayton.

Since we are all trying to stay safe by keeping distance between us and other people, let's find another way to bring smiles and share love, by creating a little scavenger hunt.

These ideas were not mine - I just wanted to share them with as many people as possible. You can paint a rainbow or a heart on your windows or front door, or use chalk to decorate your driveway. You can also put a teddy bear in your window. When kids take a walk or drive by, they can spot these little treasures, and it can brighten their day. :-) Here are some pics of what I did. :-)

We are printing these off (Dayton's Mayor shared them) and giving them to some of our neighbors. There are quite a few older people in our neighborhood, people who fall into the high risk category, who might not be able to run out to the store or pharmacy to buy what they need. This is a small way we can help.

I hope that those of you who are in the low-risk category will do the same. We have to look out for each other.
