SWART TIER/LEEU AND SWART LEEU/TIER IS THE SAME ORGANIZATION. PEOPLE USE IT BOTH WAYS. GOING FORWARD, AS OF JANUARY 1ST, 2026, THE NAME IS GOING TO BE SWART TIER. MEMBERS ARE WELCOME TO STILL WEAR CLOTHING AND MERCHANDISE WITH THE OLD NAME ON IT. YOU WILL NOT BE REQUIRED TO PURCHASE NEW MERCHANDISE WITH THE NEW NAME ON IT.

I pledge to support Swart Tier’s mission through lawful, non-violent action. I will follow the Code of Conduct, complete required training, and place community safety and dignity first.

Formal MOUs or memoranda of understanding with local nonprofits, clinics, faith groups, and police/community relations offices where possible.

Clear protocols for referrals to legal aid, mental health services, shelters, and emergency services.

Accountability & Review

Annual review of the code book and policies.

Complaint process for members/public with an independent review board (3 community members not on leadership).

Discipline ladder: counsel → probation → suspension → termination.

Only designated spokespeople speak for Swart Tier.

No posting of violent rhetoric or content that endorses illegal activity.

Respect privacy — never publish identifying info about victims without consent.

Use social media to uplift, inform, and call for peaceful action.

De-escalation & Conflict Resolution Procedure (step-by-step)

Assess safety — If there is immediate danger, call 911. Do not intervene physically.

Create distance — Give space between parties. Vocalize a calm intent to help.

Use calm, neutral language — “I’m here to help. Can we slow down and talk?”

Active listening — Let each person speak briefly; paraphrase to show understanding.

Find common ground — Identify non-threatening actions both parties can accept.

If safe, document — Record names, time, location, and a short factual summary.

Refer — Provide contact info for support services (medical, mental health, legal).

Follow up — Liaison contacts involved parties within 48–72 hours to check on needs.
