As 2022 comes to a close, we want to take a moment to thank you for your kindness, interest and support for our Foundation as it embarked on its first year as a 501(c)3. Our mission at the REACH Foundation is to enhance educational and cultural experiences for our local citizens. Our vision is to create opportunities that significantly change and systemically promote a greater quality of life in our region.
Accordingly, Dayton School as served the families of the West Shore for over 100 years, the oldest operated school in Montana. While the school has served as an extraordinary asset for generations of students, it has finally outlived its functionality. Development of its infrastructure is limited, instructional innovations and technologies are compromised, and vital programs and services are limited; all of which adversely impact the quality of education and community engagement. As such, the REACH Foundation has endorsed as its highest priority to build a new elementary school in Proctor Valley.
Our Foundation has realized much success during a short period of time raising over one million dollars which has validated the need for this endeavor. Through our communityโs generosity, we have secured land, finalized architecture planning designs, and have begun infrastructure development. Yet, there is much more to do as our project will require $20 million.
As we approach the joyous celebration of Christmas and New Year, as you make your philanthropic year end decisions, we ask that you consider helping our vision become a reality. If you would like to contribute, we accept donations through our website, reachmontana.org. You can also make checks payable to REACH Foundation and send to PO Box 42, Dayton, MT 59914. A receipt for your donations will follow for tax records.
Many thanks and, from the REACH Board of Directors, Happy Holidays.
Kaci Santos Executive Director, REACH Foundation Board Members.
