🌿 VOLUNTEERS NEEDED AT SELAH🌿

With all of the recent rain followed by this beautiful sunshine, the grass and landscaping at Selah have officially exploded- and we could truly use your help!

We have 22 acres in need of mowing, w**d eating, mulching, and general outdoor cleanup tomorrow, Saturday, May 30th, between the hours of 9am and 8pm.

Whether you can come for an hour or stay for several, we would be incredibly grateful for individuals, families, church groups, youth groups, or teams willing to serve throughout the day.

If you have a w**d eater you’d be willing to bring, that would be amazing! We do also have some equipment available on-site.

To volunteer, please reach out to our project manager, Becky Glover, at [email protected] and let her know what time you’re able to come out and help serve.

There’s a reason people say, “Many hands make light work.” Every person who shows up helps us continue keeping this land beautiful, cared for, and ready to serve those who walk onto it.

Beginning June 11th, Dear Dinah will be hosting a beautiful 5-week Bible study for women seeking healing, hope, and authentic community. Led by Wendy Brunke, this study creates a safe and encouraging space for women navigating the weight of past wounds, difficult seasons, or painful experiences- and longing to encounter God’s love in a fresh way.

Thursdays @ The Victory House | 6:30–8:00 PM

A major win for digital safety is officially here 🙌

The TAKE IT DOWN Act is now in effect, requiring platforms to remove nonconsensual intimate images and AI-generated sexual deepfakes within 48 hours of a valid report.

This law is more than policy, it is a reminder that their dignity matters and their voices deserve to be heard. As technology evolves, we must stand firm in protecting people with compassion and courage, refusing to ignore injustice and actively resisting evil by holding it accountable.

After all, every image represents a soul made in the image of God... and every soul is worth protecting 🤍

Yesterday, Dear Dinah had the honor of speaking with the 8th grade class at Morton Middle School, bringing both human trafficking awareness and internet safety education to hundreds of students.

We want to sincerely thank the administration, faculty, and staff for recognizing the importance of these conversations and for creating space to protect, equip, and empower your students. Prevention begins with awareness, and it was incredibly encouraging to see a room full of students who were honest, engaged, respectful, and willing to ask important questions.

These conversations are not always easy, but they are necessary. Every young person deserves to understand how to stay safe online, recognize manipulation, and know their worth and value. We are grateful Morton Middle School chose to be proactive in bringing this level of education and protection to their students.

To educators, schools, youth leaders, and administrators: now is the time to have these conversations. The reality is that our youth are navigating challenges previous generations never faced, especially through social media and online platforms. Awareness saves lives, and prevention starts early.

We would love to see more schools prioritize this kind of training for the next school year. Please reach out to us any time to schedule a training for your students and educators! 🤍

Heads up about tomorrow at Mosaic. We're in week two of She Believes, and we're sitting with Dinah's story from Genesis 34. It's one of the harder texts in scripture. Dinah experiences violence, and we want to be honest with you about that going in.
Two women we love are walking us through it: Courtney Decker, Serve Director at Christ Church, and Mandy Reed, founder of Dear Dinah. If this one feels like too much for where you are right now, please hear us. It is completely okay to sit this Sunday out. No guilt, no explanation needed. We'll save you a seat next week.

Though we’ve been a little quiet on social media lately, ministry has been moving in powerful ways behind the scenes 🤍

From Dayton to Tennessee, and even reaching nurses serving in Liberia, we’ve had the incredible honor of bringing awareness, education, and hope to communities near and far! Over the last week, we spoke at churches, trained volunteers, equipped nurses around the world, shared with a rotary club, and spoke at a local men’s conference about Dinah, human trafficking, and the call to protect vulnerable souls.

These conversations matters- every training plants seeds and every person willing to learn becomes beautifully positioned to help fight human trafficking in their own community.

We are deeply grateful for the continued support, prayers, and encouragement we’ve received across the globe. Thank you for standing with Dear Dinah 🌍

Five years ago, God planted a seed called Dear Dinah- and what a beautiful testimony of His faithfulness it has become 🤍

Over these past five years, we have watched Jesus bring light into some of the darkest places. Women have been rescued from trafficking, lives have been restored, churches across our city have risen up to stand on the frontlines, and the name of Jesus has been boldly proclaimed where hope once felt impossible.

By His grace, we now steward two homes and 22 acres of land yielding a tiny home community in the making- all because of the Body, willing to link arms and shine His light together.

Every story changed belongs to Him. Every life restored points back to Him. Every victory is for His glory.

We are so grateful for the opportunity to share what God is doing here in our city with the church family at Calvary Open Bible this morning 🙏

This church has been a beautiful partner to Dear Dinah for many years now, faithfully supporting our mission through both generous giving and hands-on serving. Every time we worship alongside them, we leave so encouraged. Their love for our city is genuine, evident, and inspiring.

A special thank you to Pastor Dan for the incredible work you are doing to see lives transformed and saved for the Kingdom. We are thankful for you and your leadership!
