It's such a heartbreaking and unnecessary loss when a pet's life is lost to pyometra. The beautiful Diva's life was cut short at only 4 years old. We gave a grant for the surgery, which came too late to save her. We were sad to learn that she passed away the following day.

Please, if your dog isn't spayed, make the appointment! Pyometra is PREVENTABLE. It's also often a death that doesn't have to happen.

So sorry, beautiful Diva.

Herkules is not only handsome, he is also very photogenic to I couldn't narrow down the pictures to just a few. I love how he finds the only sunny spot in that last photo! Smart and good looking, but thankfully he is off the market and won't be tom-catting around!
Herk had a very painful mouth. At 14 years old dental is going to make a big improvement in his quality of life. The great Dr. Sammie at Moxey Schreiber said everything went smoothly and Herkules mom says that he is already feeling better and eating soft food. Happy we could help this beautiful kitty!

Fuzzy is not only a big boy, he was a very sick boy! He had a urinary blockage and was hospitalized for quite a few days, where it was touch and go for awhile. Thankfully the great team at Best Friends Animal Hospital and Urgent Care Center pulled him through and Fuzzy got to go home to his anxious family. Glad we could them out!

All cats have a name and then about 20 crazy nicknames and then the next thing you know, it just spirals out of control. That's what I'm thinking happened with "Puss Kitty". The application said that is what it's name was but the estimate from the Vet said "Kitty Puss".
All I know is that Puss Kitty Puss has a wonderful owner! Her/his (not sure) dad is a very sweet man who told me that he found a little frozen ball of fur at his door, about 13 years ago. He was going out to tend to his lambs so he put the kitten in the house with his two dogs and said, "If you're all going to live together, you better figure out how to get along." He said that when he came back into the house they were all three cuddled up together by the fire, and it's been working out ever since.
We likely won't get a pic because dad only has a landline and no computer. I kind of like that.
Glad we could help and our thanks to great team at Best Friends Animal Hospital and Urgent Care Center for making Puss Kitty feel better.

This beautiful 11 year old OR girl is Ukiah, a best friend to her dad who is senior living on a fixed income, meaning vet care is almost always a hardship. I had a lovely phone conversation with this sweet man so was happy that he was able to get her in and pay for the exam. We are happy to have added Crooked Tails Veterinary Clinic to our growing list of clinics, after they had previously declined to work with us. Thankfully is wasn't anything too serious, so we picked up all the costs for the treatment and meds. Hope Ukiah is feeling better and that she is healing up. Looks like she has a pretty sweet life.

I'm no veterinarian and I don't play one on TV, so when Smokey's diagnosis was for a condition called "intussusception", I had to look it up. Apparently it occurs when one section of a pet's intestine telescopes or folds into the adjoining section of the intestine, causing the blood supply to be pinched off to the trapped section, which creates a severe and life-threatening blockage. Smokey is a handsome young Maine C**n kitty from WI and he was in good hands with the team at La Crescent Animal Care, who put things back where they were supposed to be. Glad we could help out!

Nobody has to tell Ollie to "chill out." He looks like he is the King of Chill! This young boy had a big growth on his hind leg and we helped his mom out with the cost for surgery to remove it. There is a possibility that it could be cancer, but we haven't heard, so are keeping our fingers crossed that the pathology came back with good news.
Glad we could help...stay cool, Ollie!
