The State of Black Dayton is working to advance digital equity and ensure Black residents can fully participate in an increasingly digital economy.

Being connected means being connected to opportunity.

The Foodbank will host a Pop-Up Mass Food Distribution for Montgomery County and surrounding area residents this Thursday, September 24, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the University of Dayton Arena / Welcome Stadium (1601 S Edwin C Moses Blvd, Dayton, OH 45417).

All residents are welcome to attend. This is a drive-thru-style event, so please leave plenty of room in your car for the food to be placed.

SICSA Pet Adoption and Wellness Center will also be there distributing cat and dog food.

Shout-out to CareSource for sponsoring this event and sending volunteers to help us pass out food!

If you are unable to attend, additional food resources can be found on our website at thefoodbankdayton.org.

Starting a Black-owned business is important. Building one that can grow, create jobs and build wealth is transformational.

Economic empowerment means access to living-wage careers, entrepreneurship, capital, homeownership and generational wealth.

Black Dayton should not simply participate in our region’s economic growth—it should have opportunities to help drive it.

25 Years Later, We Remember.

Today, we pause to honor the lives lost, the heroes who served, and the families and communities forever impacted by September 11, 2001.

We remember the strength, courage, and unity that brought us together in the face of tragedy.

We remember. We honor. We never forget.

Where Black Dayton lives is changing. The opportunity to build wealth should change with it.

With Black homeownership at just 41% compared with 64.7% overall, expanding access to safe, stable housing and homeownership matters.

The State of Black Dayton Housing Workgroup is working toward solutions that create greater opportunity and generational wealth.
