In the wild, Budgerigars congregate in large flocks that can range anywhere from a few dozen individuals to several hundred! Imagine how they must feel when, in captivity, they are locked in a cage all alone.

☢***SAFETY ALERT***☢

NOT ALL CINNAMON IS REAL CINNAMON!
Be careful what cinnamon you feed your beloved wee beaks!

Parrots can safely eat powdered or whole-stick Ceylon cinnamon. It can even be healthy for them, especially if it's high-quality, organic cinnamon. Ceylon cinnamon is high in Vitamin K, Vitamin E and potassium. It is also believed to be antiseptic, anti-inflammatory and high in antioxidants.

However, they CANNOT eat Cassia bark (sometimes called Chinese Cinnamon) - it's not real cinnamon, and it's NOT SAFE for parrots because of the extremely high levels of coumarin, a blood thinner that is TOXIC and even a small amount can cause liver damage and/or liver failure.

Adoption Success Story Update:
Yes. It’s true! Sebastian says it is possible to move and keep your parrot friends!
Yes. It was challenging, and different, and new…but your parrot would much rather move with you and work to adjust to all the new stuff with you than to adjust to a new home AND a new family!
Fortunately for Sebastian, his momma made the right choice and kept the flock together and now they have their feathered and human flock to help them through the changes!
Great work birdie mama, for loving him so much❣️🦜
