Glenn and I attended the America 250! Weekend events.
On Friday night we attended the Welcome Reception that was held in the lobby of Constitution Hall. I met 2 wonderful while touring the Colonial Dames 17th Century Headquarters and spent the night developing our new found friendship: Chapter Regent Wendy Branson & Susan Fuller from the Princess Anne County Chapter .
On Saturday morning, there was a host of family-friendly fun throughout the DAR library, DAR Museum, and Memorial Continental Hall.. the first 250 guests received a patriotic goodie bag not to mention a patriotic cupcake.
Saturday night was a special evening honoring America’s military women past and present featuring Patti LaBelle.. Queen of Soul who looks fantastic soon to celebrate her 82nd birthday in May.
The Military Women’s Memorial was spotlighted . Glenn and I had taken time to visit this outstanding memorial earlier in the afternoon.
What a wonderful way to kick off the DAR Celebration of our nation’s 250 birthday
