A couple of years ago, Valens Solutions was blessed to step into Solange’s story. Solange (aka SoSo) is a remarkable woman with an incredible heart - and triumphant story. She has had a long held dream of opening her own restaurant, and today, she did just that! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

We are so proud of SoSo and excited to celebrate this incredible achievement with her and her beautiful family! πŸ’™

We encourage you to support SoSo African Cuisine 1913 S. Alex Rd. In West Carrollton. The mandazi and sambusa are AMAZING!!! πŸ™ŒπŸΌ

Valens Solutions is celebrating four remarkable young men, with stories of immense struggle to triumph, who graduated from Sinclair College’s OPOTC Academy lastnight. All four medaled in police physical fitness with three of them achieving the gold - a very, very difficult task! We at VS are beyond proud of them for this incredible accomplishment! πŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌπŸ‘πŸΌ

There really are no words adequate enough to explain the life that Fidele Ngabo has lived. His story is one of struggle and heartache to hope, perseverance, and victory... and through it all with his big, beautiful smile and heart filled with gratitude.

We are so proud of him. It is an honor and privilege to walk alongside him as he achieves his dream of becoming a law enforcement officer in America, where he will protect and serve, pay it forward, be a tremendous asset to his department and community, and be able to provide for his mother and siblings. He will graduate from the police academy on Wednesday evening and is in the hiring process with two local police departments. Whoever hires him will be so fortunate.

Fidele, you are an inspiration! It is a blessing to know you, and we cannot wait to see where God will lead you in the future. Keep being amazing! πŸ’™

Adding value to people by confronting inequities, removing barriers, breaking the chains of poverty and helping them realize their fullest potential....

As some of you may know, our nonprofit, Valens Solutions, is striving to make meaningful social impact and address disparities by helping men and women of color enter into the law enforcement field. We are so grateful to have provided support for 7 men going through local police academies πŸ’™

I'm thrilled to also announce that we are now looking to support for men and women of color entering the nursing field! πŸ’™ The demographics of nurses in Ohio are actually more disproportionate than in law enforcement, with Ohio residents of color totaling 31% of the population, but less than 7% of Ohio's Registered Nurses. At VS we are hoping to help balance those statistics and believe assisting even one person at a time will make a difference.

If you are interested in supporting our Nursing or Law Enforcement efforts, you may donate on our website and indicate where you would like your donation to be used. Additionally, we are hoping to establish academic support for nursing students in the future.

New website - still under development but live! πŸ˜€

We have learned of the tragic passing of a young mother of 5, Soleil Nyirazuba. Her children are pictured. The youngest child, Happy (8months), is not pictured. Her death was not expected, but possibly due to complications after the birth of their youngest. Left behind is five children and her 28 year old husband.

Soleil and her husband Fred Rumenge were refugees from the country of Congo. They have resided in the United States for two years. Fred has needed to step away from his job for the immediate future to care for his kids, they have no friends or family for support. Montgomery County Public Health has stepped in to help the family identify some financial resources to keep their head above water while they absorb this catastrophic loss, and Reverend Laurent Muvunyi of Living Hope Church is seeking funds to sustain the family for the time it takes to put their life back together. Funds are not readily available so Valens Solutions is joining the effort.

We are asking that you consider assisting this family during their time of heartbreak and crisis. All funds donated will go to the family, not Living Hope or Valens Solutions. You can give two ways:

1. Make a donation to the family through Valens Solutions, a 501(c)3 tax deductible organization, through PayPal on the website, valenssolutions.org, or through Venmo at -Solutions.
2. Make a donation to Living Hope Church by calling Bonnie at (937) 433-2773. You can also contact Rev. Muvunyi via email at [email protected].

Thank you for your consideration in helping this family. They are in a new world, and have no one. We also ask you pray that God will bring them comfort, peace, love and security
