Nice work Kettering Police Department!

On April 25, 2026, Officers Ireton and McManus were dispatched to an attempted su***de. Upon arrival, officers located an unresponsive juvenile and began lifesaving measures. After a brief period, the juvenile showed signs of regaining life. The juvenile was transported to the hospital by KFD and made a full recovery.

This morning, we presented two well-deserved awards to our officers. Their quick thinking and decisive actions changed the outcome of this potentially tragic situation. They are commended for their lifesaving actions and the skill with which they handled this incident. Thank you both for your service and commitment to our community!

Please pray for the family & his department. We lost a brother in the fire / EMS service unexpectedly. He has a wife, & children that could use some help. For fire department personnel and apparatus, line up at 10am at the first church of christ on ledbetter road in xenia ohio. God bless all y’all! 🚑 🚒
