Friends of Amicalola Falls State Park was part of a collaborative invasive species training and removal event at Amicalola Falls State Park! Led by Emily, invasive species specialist for the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, we joined Georgia Appalachian Trail Club members and Amicalola Falls State Park staff in a wonderful day full of knowledge, identification, and hands-on invasive species removal in the park!

Memorial Day is a time to remember those who gave their lives in service to our country. It's also a weekend when many families and friends gather outdoors, visit meaningful places, and make new memories together. As Georgia State Parks and Historic Sites celebrate a year of "Monumental Moments," we hope this weekend offers space to reflect, honor, and share those moments with friends and family.

What a beautiful Earth Day at Amicalola Falls State Park! From the the trails with wonderful wildflowers, to the Lodge, to the Visitor Center, and the picnic areas, our dedicated volunteers spent the morning cleaning up our beautiful park. A special shout out goes to the "Long Grabber Guys" who began at the top of the falls and cleaned under the stairs the entire way to the to the bottom of Amicalola Falls. We appreciate all of you!

Volunteers make a difference at Amicalola Falls State Park! Join Friends of Amicalola Falls State Park this Earth Day to give back to our beautiful park and say 'Thank You!' to the environment!
