Good morning Dawson-Boyd students and families! ☀️🐰 Our April and May Study Buddies schedules got a little upgraded! Starting today, Study Buddies will now be on Mondays and Wednesdays, 3:30-5:30. Please feel free to come on into Ms. Webster’s classroom after school on these select days to receive some help with homework! 📚 Snacks ARE provided! 🥨🍿Go Blackjacks! 🖤💛

On Wednesday, March 18, FCCLA members graciously served the meal in the Community Center for the Chamber/JMHS Ag Days Event. FCCLA’s Community Service program fosters student engagement in meaningful service projects. This resource helps students:

• Understand the importance of community involvement
• Develop leadership skills through service
• Plan and carry out service projects that meet local needs
• Enhance their ability to collaborate with peers and community members
• Build a sense of responsibility and citizenship

Very successful trip to the Minnesota State Capitol!!! 🏛️❤️ Despite the early wake up call and departure time, FCCLA had a blast today! We got to spend part of the morning with other FCCLA members from the state, then, we got to speak with our Representative Chris Swedzinkski! We also were lucky enough to see the rotunda being used by public groups advocating for what they wanted for the state. And we got a tour of the building! We spent the bus rides talking, laughing, and playing games! Special thanks to our bus driver, Mike, for keeping us safe, and to our head gamemaker, Kenslie, for keeping us entertained on the bus rides 💛🖤💛

Two of our FCCLA members are also working hard in Robotics 🤖 We ❤️ that our students can be actively involved in many extra-curricular activities 🤩

This year's Dawson-Boyd Robotics clothing is ready to order! The short sleeve and long sleeve t-shirts feature our student-designed archeologist bunny logo corresponding to the FIRST AGE season theme and FIRST Robotics Competition game REBUILT.

Just in time for the end of the first quarter - a time to get help completing missing assignments - and enjoy light snacks! Our first Study Buddy sesh is tomorrow (Wednesday) from 3:30 - 6:00 PM in the FACS classroom. Let’s GO BLACKJACKS!!!

Yesterday morning, we helped out at the ECFE Halloween Party as part of community service mission ~ so many fun costumes and adorable faces!!! 🎃 Then, in the afternoon, we worked at the concession stand during the playoff football game ~ CONGRATS on your win, Blackjacks!!! 💛🖤💛
