We're excited to invite you to our first annual Family Fall Festival on Saturday, October 25th from 10 AM to 5 PM at

Cooper Carver Elementary School!



This free community event, presented by Morehouse School of Medicine and AAPHC, promises a day full of fall fun for the whole family. We'll have kid games, food giveaways, health screenings, trunk-or-treat, bounce houses, and so much more.

We want to give a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by and shared their voice during our Coffee & Conversation at the Dawson Post Office! 💬 Your feedback on what you’d like to see in Downtown Dawson is invaluable as we continue to build a stronger, more connected community.

A special shoutout goes to the Dawson Post Office for opening their doors and giving us the opportunity to engage with neighbors right where they are. 🙌

From young to old, it was wonderful to see the community come together over coffee and donuts, talking about real ideas and visions for our town. ❤️

Thank you for continuing to support our community Sumter EMC !

The Soil in Jackie’s Garden, was selected as the 2025 American Farm Bureau Foundation for Agriculture Book of the Year and will be available soon at your Terrell County Library. This book was presented to the library last week by Sumter EMC & Georgia Farm Bureau Insurance. What a great way to celebrate Georgia Ag Week! Thank you to Sumter EMC, Georgia EMC, the Georgia Foundation for Agriculture, and Georgia Public Library Service for making this wonderful program possible!
