Good evening everyone,

On behalf of Dawson borough council we would like to share this GoFundMe page for a family whose home was hit with pretty severe flooding in the borough on July 6th 2026. After an inspection was completed today it is reported that the home is salvageable but needs a lot of work done to get their family moved back in before the winter months set in.

We know that not everyone can donate but if everyone could please share this post to help get this family back into their home it would be great appreciated!

Tomorrow July 20th is Dawson Boroughs clean up day for trash disposal.

This means that Noble Environmental will be collecting larger items and bigger trash collections than usual in the morning!

Put your trash out this evening!

PEMA representatives and council members will be throughout the town today to assess the damages from this weeks storm!

Trash cleanup day for borough residents!

Some items not accepted are; tires, paint, chemicals, Freon items, batteries or excessive building materials!

If you have questions regarding specific items for disposal contact Noble Environmental prior to July 20th for approval.

‼️Attention Borough residents‼️

Dawson borough council along with the mayor have declared a State of Emergency in the borough.

Last night the borough was hit with heavy rain and flash flooding which caused trees and debris to be spread throughout the town.

The debris clogged creeks and drains throughout the town causing several roadways to flood and unfortunately water entered into several residents basements in the process.

Please be patient on the roads today as our fire department, council members, engineers and residents are out aiding in the assessment and cleanup process.

If anyone in the borough is in need of assistance please reach out for help so we can get the appropriate resources to aid your cleanup efforts!

We are a small community with limited resources but we are doing everything we can to help all affected residents at this time!
