Lake Nepessing Bass Club

Lake Nepessing Bass Club The Lake Nepessing Bass Club is one of the oldest Bass Clubs in the State of Michigan. From 1976 through 2006 144 fisherman have been members of our club.

Club members host an open tournament each year then compete in 6 club tournaments along with a memorial and a championship on lakes all across the State of Michigan. The Lake Nepessing Bass Club was started on a cold day in February at George's Bait & Tackle located below the Lake Inn on Lake Nepessing. Co-founders Larry Gargus and George Crnkovich called for the first meeting on March 7th. 1976.

Forty members signed up that day, over thirty years later, five are still members. The L.N.B.C. has won three national awards from B.A.S.S., won awards from the Michigan B.A.S.S. Nation, earned several awards from local groups and organizations, and last but not least, over thirty awards from the area Boy Scout's. We would like to thank all the members who worked so hard to help us earn those awards.

Hello everyone!

Lake Nepessing Bass Club is looking for new members. The best part is you don’t even need a boat to fish! Imagine riding in someone else’s boat, learning new techniques and figuring out all their good spots.

Why would you take interest in joining our club verses others? Our club pays its top 6 point leaders to fish in the in Michigan B.A.S.S Federation State Tournament. Yes, that’s correct you could get paid to fish and not even own a boat. The best thing is, if you do well enough you could make it to the Bassmaster Classic!

We have one meeting each Sunday of every month during the winter and fish tournaments throughout the summer. Your probably thinking what is the cost of all of this? Well, it is only $105 for your first year and $75 for every year after.

Of course, we have some side pots were you can win money during our tournaments, but they are completely voluntary. Also, there are prestigious plaques and awards given to those who earn them throughout the season.

We will be having a meeting at 10:00AM, Sunday, December 12, 2021 at the Lapeer Eagles, 3565 Davison Road, Lapeer. If you are or someone you know are interested please let us know and we would be glad to answer any of your questions!

***Reminder, returning club member dues are due this month. New members need to have dues paid by the end of April.

What’s up everyone!

We would like to extend a huge thank you to the overwhelming amount of anglers that participated in this years 41st Annual Holloway Reservoir Open. We had 61 teams this year battle for the top 10 spots!🤪

We owe the sincerest gratitude to all of our sponsors for this years successful event, we appreciate each one of you! Special thank you to David Demott for all your hard work putting this on and to all of this years volunteers at the weigh in tent!
