Chilean Students Association at UC Davis ChileUCD supports the wellness of Chilean students and their families and promote scientific, technological and academic exchange between Chile and UCDavis

The Chilean Students’ Association at UCDavis is a non-profit organization devoted to promote scientific and academic exchange between Chile and UC Davis. Chile and UCDavis have had a longstanding relationship of cooperation. In the 1960s, a series of agreements were established to promoted scientific and technological exchange in areas such as agriculture, education and water resource management.

Today, specialists on Chile’s fruit boom would credit those exchanges and, more specifically, the “UC Davis Boys” for the profound transformation of Chile’s agricultural economy. Although the initial agreements favored the agricultural and fruit sector, today ChileUCD is a community that includes PhD students, Postdocs and Faculties from areas such as Atmospheric Science, Arts, Veterinary Medicine, Mathematics, History, Social Sciences, Medicine and Neuroscience. Within this framework of continuing mutual collaborations and academic diversity, ChileUCD today aims to support the wellness of Chilean students, scholars and their families and promote scientific, technological and academic exchange between Chile and UC Davis.
