Join us for our last general meeting of the quarter! Learn more about the benefits of joining and enter in a raffle to win a $25 visa gift card!!

Pizza will be served at Kemper Courtyard (due to indoor eating restrictions) at 5 PM followed by a short presentation about the club and the raffle at Ghausi 1007 at 5:30.

Come join us first at the Kemper Courtyard from 5:10 - 6 pm to enjoy some free food and learn more about AWWA. Then at 6 pm, we will move indoors to Ghausi 1007 to work on the WE Build - Water Tower Competition. If you registered and participate in the competition, our student chapter will reimburse you. If you don't have a group yet, feel free to join us and we will help you form a group. We will be bringing in some materials, so you can start working on the water tower. Feel free to look at the rules and bring additional supplies you or others can use. Higher points are given on the sustainability of materials that are used (i.e. materials found at home, recyclable materials, etc.).

As a reminder, the winners of the competition will win a scholarship to attend the AWWA/WEF Young Professionals (YP) Summit in Orlando, Florida, February 21-24, 2022. This event is the premier water and wastewater industry workshop for young professionals. The deadline to register for the WE Build Competition is Monday, October 25th.

We will be hosting our first general meeting on October 8th, 2021 from 4-5 pm at Ghausi room 3102 A/B and we hope to see you there!

We will discuss the WE Build Competition and hopefully form some teams of 3 to register for the competition. Some of our members participated last school year and one individual won the "Student Individual Builder" section.

We will also be advertising the 2021-2022 vacant AWWA officer positions. As an officer, you will help contribute to the following goals of:
💧 Promoting professionalism within the field of water treatment/quality and water resources
💧 Being a resource for learning about the water industry
💧 Cultivating connections and networks with other water engineers, scientists, operators, and professionals in the water industry

All positions are flexible and can be adjusted to achieve the goals and skills the new coming officers wish to develop. Participating as an officer is one of the best ways for you to expand your water knowledge, network with water sector leaders, develop important leadership skills, and launch your career!

Hello everyone. We wanted to let everyone know that our event that was suppose to take place is canceled. It was a tough decision to make but with week 8/9 we thought it would be best to not go forward with the event.
