[SPREAD WIDELY]

Hey everyone! I hope you all had a relaxing Spring Break. Time to get back on the grind!

On Tuesday, April 9th, AB 392 will be in a State Congressional Hearing on AB 392/Police Use of Force.

Join the External Affairs Commission and the Office of the External Affairs Vice President (formerly known as the Office of Advocacy and Student Representation) to lobby for this crucial bill. You have the opportunity to vocalize your support for the bill!

"AB 392: The California Act to Save Lives, introduced this year by Assembly member Shirley Weber (D-San Diego), will make clear that police officers should only use deadly force when they don’t have other options. It is a common-sense bill modeled after best practices already in place in some departments – and that we know work to reduce police killings and save lives." -Anti Police-Terror Project

We will leave Davis around 7 a.m. and the hearing will be begin around 8 a.m. We should be returning to UC Davis around 10 a.m. Our departure times are subject to slight change, but it should stay around this time frame.

When you sign up, you will get a FREE ride from us! Don't miss out on this opportunity to advocate!
