We are pleased to announce: JCHIP IS BACK!!
We will have our first information session on October 14th--if you are interested in becoming a JCHIP intern, you MUST attend one of three information sessions and this is the first session where we have THREE directors of JCHIP homes from Japan who will be talking about the JCHIP experience:
First Information Meeting:
OCTOBER 14 (SAT) 2023 @ 10:30AM
in 912 Sproul Hall
NOTE: For the security reason, no one can go in and out of Sproul on a weekend. So if you are a prospective student or former intern, please come to the front of Sproul Hall by 10:20 am so that we can es**rt you to our venue!
Who can apply? : Beginning knowledge of Japanese (JPN 3 or above) required.
If you are former JCHIPpers who would like to help prospective interns, please let us know by emailing [email protected] so that we will know how many participants to expect. Since almost all the former interns graduated by now, Sorensen sensei and I will need some help from JCHIP alumni!
Looking forward to hearing from you!

Tuesday, December 1st, is "Giving Tuesday"--please consider making a donation in any amount to the JCHIP fund. Donations are tax deductible--JCHIP is a registered 501 (c) (3)--and the funds are used to support student travel to Japan to volunteer full-time over the summer months. JCHIP is on hiatus for Summer 2021, but we hope to send a full contingent of 15 interns to 8 homes in Japan in Summer 2022.

12/01/2020

There will be a public lecture, in English, from Japan, concerning the state of children's homes in Japan, and the impact the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the facilities. JCHIP supporters, please consider tuning in:
