Still time to sign up for tonight beginning at 5:15 p.m.

DINO NEST - April 23rd, 2026

Dear Esteemed Business Professional of the Davis Community!

The Da Vinci Business Project - Dino Nest (formerly known as Dragons' Den) is underway. Students are hard at work on developing business ideas for Davis, and we would like to formally invite you to join us on the big night to hear Shark Tank like pitches and evaluate the investment opportunities. Dino Nest 2025 is on Thursday, April 23 from 5:15 PM to 8:30 PM at the DV Campus.

Sign-Up to Panel here - https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E4FA4A92AA1F49-63432700-dino #/
What the evening looks like: On the big night, we would meet at 5:15 to eat some early dinner and discuss the logistics of the event and paneling process. Please check in Room 601 in the new Pamela Mari Tech Hub. You will be placed in grading teams and have a chance to review the two businesses you will panel. An overview of the grading and negotiations will be given at that time. After, everyone will have about an hour to move around to check out all business ideas. At around 6:45 panelists will move into their assigned presentation room for paneling. Each room will hear two 30-minute presentations, and the Dinos on the panel will make the crucial decision of whether or not to invest. If you have seen Shark Tank, it is just like that. The event should conclude around 8:30, and when Dinos would have fulfilled their duties and cleared to leave.
All persons that sign up to be a panelist will be emailed the day before with a confirmation of the event, and any necessary details for attending the event. It will be live and in person with no zoom option.
Thank you for your continued support of the Da Vinci Community and we hope to see you soon!!
Feel free to reach out with any questions and please feel free to send out to any colleagues you think might enjoy this event.

Great opportunity to support our local high school students.

Dear Esteemed Business Extraordinaire of Davis!
Gretchen Conners for Da Vinci High School here and hope you are doing well! It is that time of year for 12th grade business project Dinos' Nest. I am reaching out again with hopes of tapping into your extensive business knowledge to help mentor the Class of 2026 as they develop their business ideas for our big nighttime pitch presentations.
The Da Vinci Business Project - Dino Nest (formerly known as Dragons' Den) is underway. The big Nighttime event is Thursday, April 23rd, 5:30 to 8:30 PM. Please save the date on your calendars to sign up to be one of the savvy investors the students will pitch to on the big night. Currently, students are hard at work on developing business ideas for Davis, and if you are able, they would appreciate your Mentorship. Below, I ask that you sign up for a slot, whatever works for you, to come into the 12th grade Economics classrooms to advise students on their business ventures. In the years past, mentor feedback has been vital for the success of the business and pitch on the big night.
Below is a sign-up link if you are able to come into the class period during school hours to give advice and feedback. If you sign-up for the March dates, students will have finished market analysis and Business description and are ready for feedback. The April dates will have a more finished idea and need help with financials and creating their final elevator pitches.
If you have any availability - please sign up here to help out - https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0E4FA4A92AA1F49-62704914-davinci
Also please share with any colleagues you think might be interested. And stay on the lookout for the Night Event Paneling Opportunity on April 23rd! I will send that out soon!
Thank you for your time and consideration of this request and I hope to see you again this year for Dinos’ Nest 2026!
Best,
Gretchen

Today is my late friend, fellow Rotarian, and generous spirit, Bill Roe’s 84 Birthday. We all miss you, Bill. You’re the older brother I always wish I had. Thanks for all the great rides and conversations. If there is a Heaven, there must be bicycles.
