Our mission is to support children through and beyond their parent’s cancer with free, fun-filled creative programs and a l

asting community. Camp Kesem at UC Davis was founded in 2004 and supports children in Davis and the greater Sacramento area by providing Camp Kesem, a free two week-long summer camp experience, and year-round Through and Beyond support services. Our chapter is operated by 150 student volunteers and serves 300 campers ages 6-18 per year. Kesem operates at 115 chapters nationwide. Its programs and services are all funded by generous donations from individuals, foundations, and corporate partners. Kesem is a federally registered 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization.

What an amazing week! There were so many adventures, newfound friendships, and incredible memories made at camp this year. Time flies so fast, we can’t wait to see you again next year.

Paint games was a blast! The campers showed off their best and flashiest skills at the talent show as well. A day of colorful fun + incredible talent was the best combination a kid could ask for. 🐛✨

On Day 6 we said our goodbyes👋 Paper plate awards🏆 were given out and we shared our love for our graduating LIT campers💞This week has been filled with so many spectacular moments and Kesem magic🐛✨ Looking forward to seeing everyone next year and starting the countdown for week 2 of camp!🥳🩵💫

Day 5 was one of the funnest days so far!🎊 Color games brought endless laughter and energy🎨🙌 We wrapped up the evening with a talent show led by our LIT campers🪩 Campers and counselors performed the most incredible talents we have ever seen!🤩 As camp begins to wind down, we’re soaking up every moment of Kesem magic✨ and celebrating the connections, joy, and unforgettable memories that made this week so special💙💚

Day 4 of camp radiated warm and fuzzy vibes!🥰 Campers enjoyed time in the pool🏊 and created the most beautiful friendship braclets! They made luminary bags that glowed bright,💛 lighting up Empowerment as everyone shared why they Kesem💫 It was truly a one-of-a-kind day💖

Day 3 was one for the books! Campers cooled off and made a splash with water games💧and finished the day with a beautiful sunset hike☀️ Day 3 was filled with unforgettable memories and plenty of Kesem magic!💗

Day 2 was a blast! From go-kart racing🏎️ to t-shirt making to ziplining through the trees, there was fun around every corner😊 The night ended with our Newbie Talent Show🌟, where our newbie counselors took the stage to showcase their amazing talents in show-stopping outfits🕺 It was a night full of kesem magic!🫶🫶
