Recently, Showering Love partnered with Humble Helping Hearts to give showers in Miami, - what a wonderful experience!

It was a day of providing Radical Hospitality to people living in the streets. We heard many times, “Thank you! That shower felt so good!”

They were so happy to be able to shower and put on new, clean clothes. This is something a lot of us take for granted - but showers shouldn’t be a luxury - they are a necessity!

This was possible with the support of The Miami Foundation. They fund all our Miami site visits. Please help us thank them!📣🤗🚿🧼🧦🩳👕🩲📣

This is Boris - he came down here from New York after a divorce. He has a grown son who he has occasional contact with. He has a job - And he’s homeless!

When he landed in Florida, he met up with a friend who worked at the flea market and Boris has been working for him ever since. It’s mostly part time work, but it does give him a sense of stability.

This man - who has a job - is so very grateful for Showering Love. He gets a shower, clean clothes, and lunch. And we are so grateful to be able to provide these for him - and many other homeless, working people.

This is Balam, a grateful man.

He once had a good job and a place of his own. But he got laid off and things went downhill from there.

His father passed away and Balam fell into depression - and now he’s been living on the streets for 3 years.

He finally found a job - so he goes to work - but he doesn’t make enough to get a place of his own. He comes to Showering Love for showers, clean clothes, and lunch. He also comes for a shot of hope and dignity!! He walks away full of gratitude.

Miss Stephanie has been coming to our Showering Love bus for several years now. She’s working hard to get her life back on track - looking for work.🙏

She reached out to us to ask if we had any job opportunities available for her. We had to tell her not at this time. 😢

But, when one does become available we will reach out to her. We like to hire guests who utilize our services - because they truly understand and connect with others who are experiencing homelessness. 😊

We want to give all of our guests a little hope - a little restored dignity - with each shower. Thanks to you, our community, for aiding us in this mission.😇

Morning with Showering Love🌝

This is Maria with one of our guests, Derek. Maria is a hairdresser and she came out with Xanadu Academy. 💕

She made scrambled eggs and sausage for a beautiful breakfast! Now that’s super generous! She donates her skill in hair cutting - and makes us breakfast! What an angel!😇

Then, she even served our unhoused clients. The guests were so grateful and enjoyed every bite. Let’s all thank her.❤️👏🏼
