T-Red Family — as you may have figured out by now, we are not hosting the T-Red Memorial Golf Classic this year. We had to make this decision at the beginning of the year when the covid outlook for Fall was not very optimistic and easy access to vaccines seemed far away. We did not want to host an event that would be either unsafe or not up to our standards. With covid ever changing and new priorities in our family this year, it ended up being the right decision for us.

In positive news, we’ve been able to continue funding Tommy’s scholarship at Salisbury University and make smaller contributions to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation using our reserve funds and memorial donations made in honor of Tommy’s grandfather Donald “Cap” Redmiles earlier this year. We are committed as a family to funding the scholarship in perpetuity and including the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation in our annual giving.

To Our T-Red Family,
With heavy hearts, we announce the cancellation of the 10th Annual T-Red Memorial Golf Classic. Under normal times we would have begun planning the tournament in early Spring and opened registration around Memorial Day. This year, during our typical kick off time we were under a Stay at Home order experiencing our first pandemic. We've watched as many of the businesses that have supported us over the past 9 years closed their doors for months at a time and we’ve been worried for the job security, health and safety of our loved ones, including yours.

Due to all of this, we do not see a safe or successful path forward for this year’s tournament. We were set to celebrate our 10th event this September and we looked ahead in awe towards this remarkable accomplishment (we thought we might make it 5 years tops!). However, being unable to guarantee our guests’ safety is simply too important a risk to take.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your tremendous support and love over these last 9 years. You've brought us comfort and hope as we mourned our Tommy. Every single dollar raised and donated ($160K!) has been thanks to you. We hope you understand our decision and wish everyone good health and better days ahead.

Thank you for being a part of our team! We come together each year to fight for a cure for Crohn's Disease and Colitis by supporting the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation. We also fundraise for the Thomas H. Redmiles Scholarship at Salisbury University. Reuniting with our friends and family and spending time with one another is a joy.
