Brothers and Alumni of the Sigma Chapter,

My name is Walter Mann and I am the Number 5 at the Sigma chapter of KA. We, as a chapter, practice need blind admittance. We strongly believe that character supersedes all other factors when considering admitting new members. In order to maintain this conviction, we need your help. Embedded below is a link to a GoFundMe page for the chapter's scholarship fund. If you can look back on your time in KA and see how your membership in this organization has been a positive experience in your life, then we as a chapter ask of you to aid in making this same experience possible for future KA men.

Money donated towards this campaign will go to our scholarship fund, ensuring that we as a chapter can continue to bring in the best and brightest men without sacrifice.

We're happy to announce that the men of the Kappa Alpha Order attained the highest average GPA among all fraternities on Patterson Court last semester. At 3.316, we also remained above Davidson's all male average. Congrats boys and keep up the good work.

This Thursday, November 17th, KA Sigma chapter is holding our annual KA Strikes Bowling for MDA event at George Pappa's Victory Lanes in Mooresville. The event starts at 9pm and you can sign up all week in the Union at our table on the second floor. All proceeds go to The Muscular Dystrophy Association, KA's national philanthropy. Come out and enjoy a few games with the brothers for just $10 towards a great cause. Contact our service chair Paul Henderson for more information [email protected].

This weekend is Family Weekend at Davidson College and the brothers are planning a lunch with BBQ and beverages at the KA house on Saturday from roughly noon until 3:30pm. Brothers, Friends, and KA family,  Welcome to the 2016 spring newsletter for Kappa Alpha Order at Davidson College. As the brothers return after spring break, we would like to update you with the latest on campus involving our chapter.

This weekend, the I-IX attended the annual Province Council in Lexington, VA at Washington and Lee University. In addition to the officers learning and discussing the vital values and roles of their positions, our chapter was one of three chapters to receive the Scholastic Excellence Award. This award recognized chapters who received an overall GPA of 3.25 or higher in the fall of 2014. Keep up the good work boys.
