Celebrate with song and dance with members of the Native America Coalition of the Quad Cities. Meet with conservation organizations from the Quad Cities Earth Coalition and the Bi-State Conservation Action Network including partnering organizations such as Quad Cities Wild Ones, NAACP, Nahant Marsh, and Progressive Action for the Common Good.

Niabi’s Conservation Educators will have hands-on activities throughout the day. Come out and learn what actions you and your family can take through sustainability, fighting climate change, and advocating for environmental justice, plastic reduction, habitat restoration, and saving endangered species to help our planet thrive for generations to come.

We need your help!

Join us this Saturday, Oct. 15 to make a big impact in our community by picking up litter and recording it using a Marine Debris Tracker App starting at 8am. We will then be sorting and recycling trash collected at the Freight House Farmer's Market event area at 10:30am. Register for one of the many QCA event locations and take action and make an impact in our community. No experience necessary!

This event is part of an initiative to raise awareness about marine litter and single-use plastics as part of a grant awarded to the City that installed litter traps on three creeks in Davenport earlier this year. The event offers citizen scientists the opportunity to be a part of the solution to marine litter.
