With a heavy heart, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Mississippi Valley has made the difficult decision to close our physical office in Whiteside County. We are extremely proud to have served Whiteside County continuously for over 20 years and are so thankful for the many volunteers, families and donors who have made our programming possible!

Our Whiteside County programming will continue, but in a modified way going forward. Our current Whiteside County matches will be supported by staff based in our Davenport office. Inquiries by families and volunteers will continue to be processed using a more remote approach. We are confident that our matches will continue to receive quality services and support through this model.

Closing the Whiteside County office is the best way for us to continue to support youth in Whiteside County with safe and high-quality service, while solidifying our financial position to best serve all the children in our program region wide.

We will continue to review our programming model that serves Whiteside County and are hopeful that we will have the opportunity to have a more localized staffing model again in the future.

Mother’s Day is 2 days away and luckily for you, we’re back at 300 1st Ave in Rock Falls for Day 3 of our Hanging Basket fundraiser! 🌸
We still have 10 different varieties of baskets left and they are bright and happy after yesterday’s rain! 🌼
Come and get one before we sell out! $24 each and every purchase supports local youth mentoring.

We had such a great first day yesterday, thank you so much for all your support!
We sold a ton of baskets but we still have lots of beauties left - Fuchsia, Boston Fern, Petunias, Geraniums, and more! They make a great Mother’s Day or Teacher Appreciation Week gift 💐
$24 each and all proceeds go toward BBBS in Whiteside County!
Here today and tomorrow 10am-6pm and Saturday 8am-1pm, as long as supplies last.
