I recently attended The Great Texas Air Show in San Antonio, Texas, which featured an impressive performance by the United States Air Force Thunderbirds. Notably, Maj. Samuel “RaZZ” Larson, a local Davenport native, is part of the team as Thunderbird #8, Advance Pilot and narrator, fulfilling the role of the “voice” of the Thunderbirds 2026 team. Although there isn’t a Quad City Air Show in 2026, I have some news if you want to go see the Thunderbirds – they will be at the Chicago Air and Water Show on August 15-16, 2026, on the Chicago lakefront.
