Family Resources Our Mission: Supporting Successful Lives to Build Strong Communities

Family Resources is a nonprofit founded in 1849 with a mission to support successful lives to build strong communities. Family Resources offers services in 11 counties in eastern Iowa and western Illinois including counseling and therapy, behavioral health intervention services, child welfare emergency services and Iowa Aftercare services. Comprehensive services are also available to survivors of domestic abuse, sexual abuse, human trafficking, homicide and other violent crimes.

💜 Meet Paige, our Sheltering & Housing Supervisor!

As we continue highlighting the incredible individuals who make our work possible during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we're excited to introduce Paige.

Paige and her team work hard each day to help survivors access safe housing, navigate barriers, and build a foundation for the future. Her leadership, advocacy, and unwavering commitment to survivor well-being help ensure that those we serve are met with dignity, compassion, and support.

Thank you, Paige, for the difference you make in the lives of survivors and throughout our organization. We are lucky to have you on our team! 💜🏠

💚🤝Impact Partner Moment of Appreciation🤝💙

One of our Champion of Hope Sponsors Modern Woodmen of America put a team together to create and donate Care Baskets for new clients coming into our Sheltering & Housing Program at Family Resources.

📸Pictured here are Amanda and Jennifer of Modern Woodman representing their team of Impact Partners. The baskets hold personal care items and even journals to comfort and assist those receiving Shelter services.

A big THANK YOU to the entire Quad City Community, Bent River Brewing Company, Thyron Mathews BBQ, Toni’s Smokin’ Grill, True Homes, Brews Energy, each and every vendor, staff member, crew member, and volunteer who made this incredible event possible.

🎗️While beautiful fall fun was had, the true mission of events like this runs deeper. This is an example of how a community can come together and bring their time, unique talents, and presence to make a true difference in our community.

💜🎗️Everyone knows someone impacted by domestic violence and we heard from survivors who were there that the Fall Fest helped them feel seen, supported, and know that they are never alone.

💜Generous donations were also made that will help fund free & confidential services that are offered right here locally. We could not do this work without our community. Thank you for helping be the bridge to safety, support, and healing.

🎗💀🕯🦋🧡Día de los Mu***os Community Altar🧡💀🕯🦋🎗

Join us October 27-November 2, 2026 at the Family Resources Main Office, 1414 W. Lombard St., Davenport, IA, as we honor and remember loved ones through our Día de los Mu***os Community Altar in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM). 💜

Located at our Front Desk, the altar is free to visit and open to all community members.

🧡This special display honors:
- Loved ones lost to domestic violence.
- Survivors of domestic violence, sexual abuse, human trafficking, and other violent crimes who have passed away.
- Victims of homicide, gun violence, and other acts of violence.
- Beloved family members and pets whose memories continue to live on.

We invite the public, Family Resources clients, staff, and community members to participate by bringing a photo, memento, or offering to place on the altar. 🖼

Together, we create a space for remembrance, healing, awareness, and hope.
All are welcome to participate.
