Big River Conservationists are making a real difference in our community by investing in the next generation of outdoorsmen and women. Through their dedication to conservation, education, youth day & women's outdoor programs, they help keep our outdoor traditions alive.

Every March, they award five $1,000 scholarships to deserving students pursuing continuing education or entering a skilled trade, helping young people build successful futures while strengthening our communities.

It's with sad news....😢
Thanks to those who sent in early and continue to support BRC Women's Outdoor Event.

Today, we have not received enough interest to hold our annual Women’s Outdoor event at Oak Hill Gun Club on October 3rd. Therefore, we have cancelled it. With the handful of you that did register, your money will be refunded. We look forward to your ideas to continue this event; whether it be shooting sports or another outdoor adventure. The Big River Conservationists Committee would appreciate your comments and suggestions, please email me at

If it is the Date, we have to work with Oak Hill in January to obtain a date that is available for them too and appreciate all who support us.

We would love to see you at our Banquet in March 2027.

Please sign up NOW to attend our BRC Women's Outdoor Event on Saturday Oct. 3rd at Oak Hill Hun Club, Blue Grass, IA. The event cost will be $40.00 which includes (ammo, catered lunch, beverage, archery, targets, bows and use of hand/shot guns🎯).

Silent Auction & Gun raffles.

Deadline is September 21th. Please send in registration form early to ensure your spot.

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of a very special committee member of (BRC) Big River Conservationists, Robert "Bob" Parker.

Please join us as we gather to celebrate Bob’s life and honor his memory.

He will be dearly missed but never forgotten for all he had done for BRC and his vision for the future.

Thank you all who attended our "Rainy" day and made the best of Mother Nature's failure to cooperate.
