We pause today to honor and remember the nearly 3,000 lives lost on September 11, 2001. We will never forget the civilians, first responders, and military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice.

As firefighters, we are forever connected to the bravery and heroism displayed by the FDNY and all first responders who ran toward danger. Their courage reminds us of the commitment and sacrifice of first responders everywhere, including right here in our community.

🚨 ATTENTION DRIVERS! 🚨 When you see flashing lights ahead – whether it's an accident, a vehicle stopped on the shoulder, or our crews working – PLEASE slow down. When being directed through an accident scene, use turn signals and keep speeds at a minimum. Our firefighters, law enforcement, and EMS personnel are working to help others, often just feet from active traffic. Your focus and caution keep everyone safe.
