A FAREWELL MESSAGE FROM MR. MACKSEY❤️‼️

“To the parents of the wonderful students at Harrison Elementary,

I would like to thank you for a wonderful 4 years. When I came to this position, I knew this would be my final position and I was determined to make Harrison the best school in the district. I am particularly proud of the fact that our circulations went up from roughly 10,000 / year to 20,000/year each year I have been here. Reading is such a gateway to success, and I hope I played a small measure in that.

My retirement plans are set; My wife and I are moving to Arizona, where I will be teaching 3rd and 4th grade. It is a return to my roots, as I loved my years as a classroom teacher. I wish only the best for your children and you, and I am so grateful you have accepted me into the Harrison family. Once a Hawk, always a Hawk!

‼️ A note from Mr. Fisher:
Remind your kids to wear "crummy" clothes tomorrow. As in, don't wear your Jordan's that you can't get a crease it. They'll sweat. They'll get dirty. Plan for it. Mention wearing sleeves in the morning and bringing a hoodie to wear after Field day. Also, I recommend an extra pair of socks and maybe extra shoes in the backpack for after FD (maybe slides or crocks).

The carnival is finally here and we can’t wait to celebrate with you tonight! Get ready for games, prizes, food trucks, fun, and an amazing night together on the blacktop!

Haven’t grabbed your wristband yet? No worries, we’ll have wristbands available for purchase at the event!

Bring a chair or blanket, grab some delicious food from the incredible food trucks, and enjoy all the carnival fun with family and friends!
